New York, NY (WFSB) – A Connecticut man accused of killing a resort worker in the eastern Caribbean island of Anguilla is expected to provide an update on his case.

According to the Royal Forces of Anguilla, Hapgood, 44, was charged with murder in connection with the death of 27-year-old Kenny Mitchell, a Dominican national and dependency worker in the resort of Malihuana.
Hapgood was resting with his family at a resort on British soil back in April when that happened.
At that time, a Hapgood representative stated that the murder was self-defense. The claim was that Mitchell was "armed and demanding money" when he appeared in Hapgood's room.
The autopsy results show that Mitchell died of "prone restraint and positional asphyxia".
Exactly what led to the incident remains unclear. .
