But obviously better for the Xbox Series X.
We are struck in the middle of the gap between the latest and new generation consoles, as we have to take into account what the games of the two sets of machines look like. Obviously things look best on the PS5 and Xbox Series X right now, but how much better? Is upgrading really worth the immediate investment?
CD Projekt Red is trying to answer this question with a game that probably makes people consider buying new hardware. We have this morning Cyberpunk 2077 a comparative video that shows what the game looks like on both the Xbox One X and the Xbox Series X. These are nearly 1
Taking? You could probably live with any version. Xbox Series X has more impressive lighting and what not, but the latest generation is not so bad that it seems impossible to play. It seems perfectly adequate. (Although you can ask to be different when we know the loading time of the Xbox One hard drive and the Xbox Series X SSD).
It is also worth noting that this is a well-maintained showcase that will not show any real flaws in both versions. It’s hard to feel the performance, but we wouldn’t be aware of big drops in frame rate if any of the consoles – probably the Xbox One – had problems with that.
However, this is not as good as it will appear on the Xbox Series X. CD Projekt Red notes that there is still a free update next year that will bring real improvements from the next generation of Cyberpunk 2077 on PS5 and Xbox Series S / X.
As for anyone who has wondered how Cyberpunk 2077 will differ between the PS4 and PS5, you can probably expect it to be very similar to this breakdown of the Xbox. You don’t have to take my word for it. In the coming weeks, CD Projekt Red will release a PlayStation video that will offer the same kind of comparison. It’s supposed to be different scenes, so at least we’ll get another hit Cyberpunk gameplay before the launch on December 10.
Oh, yes, and the next episode of Night City Wire is on Thursday. This is Keanu. Lot Cyberpunk in preparation before the start of the actual game after a little less than a month.
