For decades, those who have often been with Dunkin have been about as easily recognizable as foam chains on chains, as much as hot brewed beverages.
As heat passes through polystyrene glasses and makes them difficult to handle, for years people often add a glass of extra foam as insulation.
And with a nod to longtime customers who are used to doubling their glasses every time they grab coffee, Dunkin helps them warm up to the new glasses.

New paper cups are more eco-friendly
At that time, it had already begun introducing double-sided paper cups in its more than 9,000 US stores, using them in a concept store outside of Boston, which opened in January 2018.
The full transition is expected to be completed until April 2020
Most of the 3,600 Dunkin non-U.S. Stores have already been converted to paper cups, and other international stores have been designated to meet the transition goal of spring 2020.
The chain has made several other sustainability improvements over the past decade, switching to recycled paper napkins in 2009 and switching to using 100% recycled paper bag bags in 2014
