Channeling her feelings. Demi Lovato released a surprising new song on Wednesday (September 30th) after ending her engagement to Max Erich.

Titled “I’m Still There,” the pop star released the emotional piano ballad entirely via Twitter, writing “Music is always there for me …” along with the video for the song. (At the time of the press release, the new version was not yet available on streaming services.)

Lovato’s latest track arrives a few weeks after her new dance-pop collaboration on mental health with Marshmello, “OK Not To Be OK”, which has so far reached 32nd place in the Hot 100. (The song also hit No. 1). 1 in the sales chart of Dance / Electronic Digital Song.) Meanwhile, she broke up with Ehrich just two months after the actor asked the question in a romantic proposal on the beach.

Earlier this summer, the singer opened at The hustle and bustle a cover story about the impact of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic on its long-awaited musical return. After releasing the lead single “I Love Me” and its emo remix in the spring, assisted by Travis Barker, Lovato set the plans for its upcoming seventh studio album – a sequel to 2017.
