Fate 2The latest season, Splicker Season, begins on May 11 and asks the Guardians to defend the Last City from Vex’s progress. The new season lasts until August 24 and includes new weapons, new missions and a journey back to the classics Fate attack, Bungie revealed on Tuesday.
Season of the Splicer is all about the Vex, who make direct threats to the Last City, one of the last remaining strongholds of mankind. Vex blocked the sun and threw the city into an endless night. To stop them, the Guardians must team up with Mitrax, Kel of the House of Light, to restore the city̵
As part of the story for the season, players will have the chance to break into a Vex simulation, courtesy of Mithrax, and complete six players for a matchmaking called Override, where they will have to steal Vex codes and reveal their secrets. The season also includes a new weekly top mission called Expunge, where players can try to destroy the Vex network from within.
A few weeks after the season, on May 22, players can deal with Vex in the mysterious raid on Vault of Glass. The challenges that await players in the Safe include a battle against Atheon, Time’s Conflux.
The glass vault was the original Fateis the first raid and the hard players still keep it in a very special place in their memories. Although the raid will still be recognizable to them, it will not be a direct port. According to Bungie, the new Vault of Glass is actually an updated version of the raid, which was created to better fit into it Fate 2, and the expectations that players have from the current game.
Another new feature in Season of the Splicer is the controversial new armor synthesis system that Bungie unveiled last month. Armor Synthesis allows players to customize the look of their Guardian with a new transmog system. The new season also means Season Pass, just like previous seasons; Season Pass owners immediately receive the new exotic Cryosthesia 77K when the Season of the Splicer begins.
