Destiny 2 at Google Stadia, Google's upcoming cloud streaming service, can not play with other platforms, including the PC. Google Stadia will be limited to its own "ecosystem", which means Stadia's Destiny 2 players can only play with other Stadia players. It does not matter if Stadia users use keyboard and mouse, controllers or other, they will only be compatible with multiplayer with other Destiny 2 players. Frequently asked questions about the Stadia Founder Edition product package. The Stadia founder's edition packs a controller, a Stadia Pro quarterly subscription, and a full Destiny 2 including all content after release to and including Shadowkeep's expansion this autumn. The answer to the specific question is, "Will Stadia cross-game with Steam and other platforms?" And the answer is no, "Stadia players will only be able to play with other Stadia players."
There is a decision to divide the Stadia community for Destiny 2 although a logical explanation can be assumed. Given the nature of Google Stadia as a cloud service, it is unlikely that it will include a similar game and account licensing system. Someone in Destiny 2 from Stadia does not necessarily have access to their personal copy of the game, they will have access to a set of licenses that Google Stadia has retained for their players. Multiplayer technology is nowadays, even with Bungie developing cross-retention technology on all platforms, some hoops will just take too much time and effort to break down. Given that Bungie has managed to keep his job, perhaps there will be hope for a cross-platform relationship between Google Stadia and the least PC in the future. ” width=”738″ height=”410″ sizes=”(max-width: 738px) 100vw, 738px” data-ezsrc=”https://cdn.gamerant.com/wp-content/uploads/destiny-2-google-stadia-no-pc-cross-play-738×410.jpg.optimal.jpg” data-ezsrcset=”https://cdn.gamerant.com/wp-content/uploads/destiny-2-google-stadia-no-pc-cross-play-738×410.jpg.optimal.jpg 738w, https://cdn.gamerant.com/wp-content/uploads/destiny-2-google-stadia-no-pc-cross-play-325×180.jpg.optimal.jpg 325w, https://cdn.gamerant.com/wp-content/uploads/destiny-2-google-stadia-no-pc-cross-play.jpg.optimal.jpg 1080w”/>
Just because it may be understandable why the cross-game between Google Stadia and other platforms is not feasible does not mean it will go well. Many Destiny 2 PCs have been excited about going into Google Stadia from a laptop or tablet while away from their desktop and still playing with their usual Fireteam. And many potential Google Stadia subscribers were very interested because this would be an easy way to join the already active community Destiny 2 . Google Stadia must have a lot of confidence to believe it can keep its own multiplayer ecosystems.
Destiny 2 is now available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, with plans to launch Google Stadia later this year.
