The Detroit Lions traded safety Quandre Diggs and was elected to the Seattle Seahawks seven rounds by 2021 on Tuesday, according to a person familiar with the situation.

The Lions will receive a fifth round pick in the 2020 draft, the NFL Network reported.

Diggs was in his fifth season with the Lions after being drafted by the franchise in the sixth round of the 2015 draft. matches for the Lions (2-3-1) this season.

Following the announcement of the trade, Darius Slay, the cornerback for the Lions' Pro Bowl, tweeted: "This bull shit here."

Slay has been playing for the Lions since 2013.
