Oil is a game about finding Faraday, a shipwrecked man who then finds himself in the mysterious land of Terraphage. Armed with a legendary harpoon, he and other homeless people try to leave this hostile country to return to their home countries. Through adventurous exploration, storytelling and a sharp razor, the player will discover a strange world and its inhabitants, including Olia, a mysterious lady with whom Faraday finds himself bound over time.
