Dolly Parton is the star of this holiday season.
The country singer announced on Tuesday that she is the lead actress in the upcoming Netflix musical “Christmas in the Square”.
Gray’s Anatomy star Debbie Allen is the director of the Netflix film, which comes out on Sunday, November 22nd.
The project shares the same name as Parton’s first single from her upcoming album “A Holly Dolly Christmas”, which will be released on Friday.

The 74-year-old Parton stars Christine Baranski, Jennifer Lewis, Trate Williams, Janine Mason, Josh Segara, Mary Lane Haskell, Matthew Johnson and Selah Kimbro Jones.
14 of the songs of the singer “Jolene”, including some of her upcoming album, will be woven into the plot of the film.

The “9 to 5” singer was chosen as an angel who helped change the heart of Baranski’s character after she tried to evict all the tenants in her hometown after her father’s death, according to Variety.
Parton’s upcoming album is her first holiday project since the release of Home for Christmas in 1990.
