U.S. Stock index futures were slightly higher on Thursday morning.
Around 04:10 ET, the Dow futures rose 21 points, indicating a positive opening of more than 29 points. The futures of S&P and Nasdaq were slightly higher.
Wall Street closed on Wednesday with a higher note after President Trump said a trade deal between the US and China could arrive earlier than expected. Both sides have engaged in a tit-for-tat tariff war of 2018.
Meanwhile, investors are also watching an impeachment investigation launched at the House of Representatives on Tuesday over a call between the president and his Ukrainian counterpart, Vladimir Zelensky. Wednesday's call transcript does not appear to indicate explicitly Donald Trump's quid pro quo. However, more details about their phone call are yet to come.
There will be details of the jobless claims at 08:30 ET on the data front. At the same time, data from the third reading of real GDP data (domestic product growth) from the second quarter of this year will be published.
The corporate news will include carnivals and vile resorts.
