U.S. Stock index futures were lower on Monday morning.
Around 1:30 am, Dow's ET futures fell 105 points, indicating a negative opening of more than 121 points. S&P and Nasdaq futures were also lower.
Investors are closely watching the news in China-US. trade front after President Donald Trump on Friday said he did not agree to abolish tariffs on Chinese goods. His comments followed news from last week after the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said both sides agreed to cancel the existing tariffs in stages.
Market participants are also following new demonstrations in Hong Kong. Local police are reported to have opened fire on Monday during mass protests that re-emerged following the arrest of three Democrats over the weekend.
