Dr. Dre he is still in intensive care, a week after he was rushed to hospital after suffering a brain aneurysm, and doctors are still trying to figure out what happened.
Sources related to Dre with direct knowledge tell TMZ … Dre is where he has been since last Monday – in the intensive care unit at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles Our sources say that doctors continue to recruit from tests to get to the main problem. Doctors also want him in the intensive care unit in case, God forbid, he suffers from a new aneurysm … if that happens, time will be of the essence.
We don’t know if Dre has had surgery, but it’s usually the case to stop the bleeding.
As for his current condition … the music legend is resting comfortably and perhaps even more hopefully, our sources say, documents have cautiously informed his family that a “bad result” does not seem to be on the horizon.
TMZ broke the story … Dre suffers from an aneurysm at his home in the Pacific Palisade on Monday and was taken by ambulance to Cedars.
If things stay that way, Dre is really lucky – brain aneurysms lead to death about 50% of the time, and for those who survive … about 2/3 suffer from some kind of permanent neurological deficit.
