A Dunkin ‘Donuts manager was fatally shot by an armed robber who broke into a Philadelphia business early Saturday morning, a report said.
Christine Lugo, 41, a mother of two, was opening a donut shop around 5:30 a.m. when the attacker broke in and demanded cash, police told WPVI.
Lugo complied, handing over money from an internal office before the man fired a bullet into her head, the report said.
The worker died at the scene. Her killer reportedly remained on Sunday off.
The murder left Lugo’s friends shocked.
“She was a special person,” former colleague Gilberto Melendez told the news station.
“It’s crazy that someone can just come and take someone̵
Dunkin ‘Donuts, in a statement to the store, said: “All of us at Dunkin’ are sad when we learn of the death of a restaurant manager and our thoughts turn to her family and friends.”
