Early NFL Division Round Playoff Odds: The Saints Are Easy Favorites Against Tom Brady’s Buccaneers

Six NFL playoff games are officially included in the books, but many more are just around the corner. With the weekend of Super Wild-Card over, it’s time to turn our attention to the divisional round, where the drama is another step. We have another rematch of Buccaneers and Saints. We have Lamar Jackson against Josh Allen. Jalen Ramsey wants to close the Packers. And we have * checking notes * Cleveland Browns facing the current champions.

Who is preferred in the next list of actions after the season? Who likes the chances to advance in AFC and NFC titles? Take a look below for an early preview of the opening of divisional round lines, courtesy of the William Hill Sportsbook:

Aries in Packers

Opening line: Packers -7

Los Angeles caused a major upheaval at the Super Wild-Card Weekend with a 30-20 victory over the Seahawks, and quarterback Jared Goff will be removed for another week of thumb surgery. But it̵

7;s no surprise that the Rams are touchdown outsiders here. Goff may have nice weapons around him, but he’s still a mediocre passerby at the moment. More importantly, Aaron Rodgers is dominant all year round and he and Packers will be in Lambo after a week off. Green Bay is the fuller and better trained team. The road to the Super Bowl passes through Green Bay at NFC.

Opening line: Accounts -2.5

The narrowest game of the divisional round, according to the odds, this may be the most fun over the weekend. Between Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson, who joined the NFL during the same project in 2018, Bills and Ravens figure out setting up a double-threat clinic at QB. Buffalo was not perfect in his upcoming victory over the Colts during the Wild-Card Weekend, but neither were the crows against the Titans on Sunday. The bills will probably only get a slight nod here because they’ll be home with an extra day off, but this one, frankly, has to do with whether you believe more in Jackson’s feet or Allen’s hand.

Opening line: Chiefs -9.5

No one deserves more love after the Super Wild-Card Weekend of the Browns, who managed to snatch a series of losses from 17 games in Pittsburgh, releasing 48 to the Steelers. But let’s be honest: Kansas City is on a completely different level in terms of offensive firepower, and if they had fallen behind 28-0 on Sunday, no doubt, unlike the Steelers, they would have managed to overcome the deficit. That should be fun, if only because Cleveland will re-adopt the outsider mentality, but at Arrowhead, with Patrick Maomes taking a week off and facing the ridiculous brown “D”, the bosses are legitimate favorites.

Spicy in the saints

Opening line: Saints -3.5

Recent history says that pirates have no chance here. The Saints won five in a row against Tampa Bay, and even with Tom Brady on their side in 2020, the Lumps were embarrassed by nearly two full games against Sean Peyton. Common sense, however, says this will get to the wire. Brady may have broken up under the pressure the last time the two teams met, but his hand was lively and he is also a different breed in the post-season period. New Orleans deserves a slight advantage, especially considering that it will advertise its top 5 defense at home. But this game could be a shootout.
