The mayor of a city in the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Doctors Without Borders group say the offenders have devastated a center for treatment of Ebola in the eastern town of Butebbo and the second erb clinic in the region was attacked for a week. Mayor of Butehambo Silvan Kanyamananda said unidentified attackers burned tents and other equipment in the center on Wednesday.
Doctors Without Borders who run the treatment center say they focus on the safety of staff and patients.
The attackers are attacking another Ebola treatment center led by the relief group on Sunday in Kata, killing one person and injuring another.
