EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) – The Ministry of Health in El Paso announced seven deaths from viruses and 337 new cases on Friday morning.
Now the death toll is 266.
The health department says the victims range in age from the 70s to the 90s. They included three men in the 70s, two women in the 80s and two women in the 90s.
Only one of the victims did not have basic health conditions, officials said.
There have already been 14,276 confirmed cases in El Paso County since the start of the pandemic. The number of active cases increased for the first time in five days. It is now 3,311, compared to 3,204 on Thursday.
The Department of Public Health had not yet published the updated number of refunds.
