Elizabeth Olson’s next role on the small screen comes with a serious grinding ax. HBO Max has placed an order for a series of David E. Kelly Love and death, s WandaVision actress attached to a star, learned TVLine.
Inspired by the real crime book Evidence of Love: A True Story of Passion and Death in the Suburbs, as well as several articles from Texas monthly, the limited series follows “two couples in a church enjoying family life in a small Texas town while someone raises an ax,” according to the official line. Olsen will play Candy Montgomery, the ax-killer in question in real life.

Love and death was written by Kelley, with Lesli Linka Glatter attached to direct. Produced by Lionsgate, the limited series was produced by Glatter, Kelley through David E. Kelley Productions, Nicole Kidman and Per Saari through Blossom Films, Scott Brown and Megan Creydt through Texas Monthly, Matthew Tinker and Michael Klick and Helen Verno.
