Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ: TSLA) CEO Elon Musk suggested using cryptocurrency on Sunday Dogecoin (DOGE) as a theme “definitely” will be present in his appearance on “Saturday Night Live” on May 8.
What happened: Musk had taken to Twitter looking for sketches of his upcoming appearance on the show.
A Twitter user suggested “Summin about the Dogefather”, to which Musk replied “Definitely”. The Dogefather is a combination of Dogecoin and The Godfather.

Dogecoin has fallen 1.3 percent in the last 24 hours and traded at $ 0.3822 in the press after briefly crossing the 40-cent mark.
Last Wednesday, Musk also hinted at Dogecoin, who starred in his SNL episode. Following his hint, the cryptocurrency jumped to a 24-hour high.

Musk will host “Saturday Night Live” on May 8. The show is broadcast on NBC, owned by Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ: CMCSA), with replays available in the Hulu and Peacock streaming services.
Musk will join music guest Miley Cyrus, who will make her sixth appearance on the show. The show, led by Musk, is expected to bring in SNL fans who have never tuned in for the weekly show.
Why it is important: Musk is a big supporter of Dogecoin, while his electric vehicle company is investing heavily in bitcoin (BTC). His tweets about Dogecoin sometimes have a huge impact on the price of the meme’s cryptocurrency. Tesla’s recent first-quarter earnings report showed that the electric vehicle maker’s investment in bitcoin helped boost profits.
The SNL show airs outside of Tesla’s stock trading hours. However, the shares could see a reaction on Monday, May 10, when the market resumed trading. Dogecoin, in contrast, can be traded throughout the show.
