Ethereum (ETH) co – founder Vitalik Buterin, who was sent to 50% of SHIBA INU (SHIB) offering tokens by the founders of the so-called Dogecoin (DOGE) coin killer, burned a significant portion of the gift.
What happened: Last week, Buterin donated 50 trillion SHIB to India’s Covid Relief Fund, along with other cryptocurrencies.
Buterin – who took possession of 505 trillion SHIB tokens last week – “burned” 90% of the remaining tokens in his wallet, according to a transaction record in the Ethereum blockchain on Etherscan.io. It should be noted that the remaining 50% of SHIB is locked Swap (UNI).
Incineration refers to the act of sending a token to an unusable account and withdrawing it from circulation, which reduces supply and increases its shortage.
The Ethereum co-founder sent 41
“I decided to burn 90% of the other tokens on a slide in my wallet. The remaining 10% will be sent to a (not yet decided) charity with similar values to crypto-relief (prevention of large-scale loss of life), but with a longer-term orientation, “Buterin wrote in the hash of the transaction.
“Covid is a big problem now, but it’s important to think about the long-term future!”
SHIB was trading 4.29% higher at $ 0.000016 during the press release. It has 394.8 trillion coins in circulation, according to CoinMarketCap. The total supply is one quadrillion.

ETH traded 9.93% lower at $ 3,435.05 during the press on a 24-hour basis while the peak cryptocurrency Bitcoin (BTC) was trading 5.95% lower at $ 45143.70.
Why it is important: Buterin praised the “dog symbol communities” in the deal, saying: “Many dog people have shown their generosity and willingness not only to focus on their own profits, but also to be interested in making the world a better place.”
The co-founder of Ethereum also had a message for coin makers and urged them not to give him coins in their projects without his consent.
“I do not want to be a locus of power of this kind. It’s better to just print the coins directly in the hands of a decent charity (although talk to them first), “said Buterin.
SHIB is advertised as a Dogecoin (DOGE) killer and jumped surprisingly last week when he found love from investors in China. DOGE was trading 6.08% lower at $ 0.50 in the press.
Get the Gas Station: SHIB gained 19% on a seven-day basis, but still traded 57.07% lower than the record of $ 0.0000388, which reached on May 10 during the press. Burning Buterin could potentially trigger a new rally, but that remains to be seen. Investors need to be careful and diligent before allocating funds for any variable investments such as new cryptocurrencies with low market capitalization and high supply.
