Boston Bruins chose John Beaver's center with the 30th NHL first round game for 2019 on Friday night.
The 18-year-old is a product of the US Team Development Program, which has seen eight other perspectives to be selected in the first round, including Jack Hughes, who is not surprising to have drawn number one overall from New Jersey Devils ,
Beachman did not raise his eyes but won a bronze medal with a US team at the World Championship in June 2019. He scored three goals and had one hand in seven games during the tournament.
He also scored 25 points (nine goals, 16 assists) and plus-11 ratings in 34 games in the 2017-18 season with USNTDP, according to the press release.
He will surely be an eye-catcher.
