A Connecticut father and son fell from a 75-foot rock death after riding an ATV on a career in Farmington, police said.
The Farmington Police Department identified the victims as Stephen Price, 71, and his 30-year-old son, Mark Price.
Steven and Mark were riding in heavy vehicles with a friend on an old, abandoned career Wednesday night when the band stopped. The father and son fell "as they stood near the edge of an approximately 75-meter cliff," police said in a news release.
They were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said they were alerted just before 8:00 pm, NBC Connecticut reports.
A man who called 91
"Calling 911 had to escort fire department officers and staff to the location of the two victims because of the challenging terrain," police said in the release. "While this incident seems random, detectives from the Farmington Police Department are actively investigating the tragic incident."
