TAMPA (WJW) – Another medicine has been added to the withdrawal of drugs used to treat high blood pressure.
Torrent Pharmaceuticals Limited recalls several batches of Losartan Potassium tablets, the FDA reported on Thursday. Losartan has been reported to be used for the treatment of hypertension, hypertrophy with left ventricular hypertrophy and for the treatment of nephropathy in patients with type 2 diabetes.
The FDA warns that patients using any of the drugs included in withdrawal, they should contact their doctor before completely discontinuing Losartan.
