The New York Fire Department has provided information to the FBI about a number of members who were allegedly in the US Capitol when the rebels attacked the building.
A FDNY spokesman confirmed that a number of its members had been identified as participants in Wednesday’s riot, which killed four people and a police officer at the US Capitol.
“The department received anonymous allegations that active or retired members attended the events at the United States Capitol on Jan. 6 and provided that information to the FBI as needed,” said Frank Dwyer, a spokesman for FDNY.
