Fetty Wap paid tribute to his late brother on Friday, a day after he was shot and killed in New Jersey.
The 29-year-old rapper revealed the death in his Instagram photo, in which he is with 26-year-old Twice Depeu, whom he called his “twin”.
“I love you, my twin brother … RIP … I didn’t make it, brother, I’m sorry,” he wrote.

In his Instagram stories, Fetty told his friends and fans, “Stop asking me if I’m okay.”
“Without TF, I’m not well,” he wrote.
“I lost so much **** that I almost started to feel normal … but my brother is a brother,” he continued in a second text post.

Deppu, 26, was shot in the chest around 9 p.m. Thursday night and taken by another man to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Patterson, New Jersey, South Passaic Daily Voice reported. He died only a few hours later.
It is unclear whether the suspects were arrested in connection with the murder. Deppu was the 22nd person killed in a shooting at Patterson so far this year.
As early as 2016, Fetty (real name: Willie Maxwell II) talked about caring for his family in a chat with Trevor Noah for Interview magazine.

“I don’t have that many families,” he added.
“I’m not really a family man. I’m just doing my thing. But I just spend time with my mother, especially after [September motorcycle] an accident happened, ”he continued.

Family seemed to be his main concern, and he said that fame “meant nothing to me.”
“My plan was to make sure my son was going to be good and now I have a daughter, so now she’s on the equation and the work I do as Fetty Wap has made me worry,” he said. “I don’t care to be Fetty Wap.”
The singer has his own growing family, including six children from different mothers.
