The Giants shake their coaching staff in the middle of the season.
Giants head coach Joe Judge fired offensive line coach Mark Colombo and hired Dave DeGuglielmo to replace him, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelisero.
Colombo is in his first year with the Giants after spending the last four seasons as an offensive line coach in Dallas under Jason Garrett, who is now the Giants’ offensive coordinator. He had a 10-year playing career with bears, cowboys and dolphins.
DeGuglielmo has previously worked with a referee in New England and apparently the referee thinks he is better suited to what the Giants are trying to do. After a 0-5 start, the Giants have been playing better football lately and are still battling in the NFC East, hoping to have a better offensive line the rest of the way.
