A Florida police officer who arrested two children, including a 6-year-old girl for casting intrigue, has been stopped as his department investigates the shocking incident, authorities said.
School Resources Officer Dennis Turner did not get his commander's approval before killing a 6-year-old and 8-year-old Thursday, Orlando Police Chief Roland told News 6.
The department's policy requires the officer to obtain approval of arrest.  The officer was reassigned to the reserve officer program and his duties were terminated pending the outcome of an internal investigation, Rolon said.
"The Orlando Police Department has a policy regarding the arrest of a minor and our initial finding shows that the policy was not followed," Rolon tells the store.

The 6-year-old, Kaya Rolle, was cuffed, f printed and charged after throwing intrigue and kicking someone at Lucy Academy Elementary School and Emma Nixon, said her grandmother Marilyn Kirkland.

When the supervisor learned of Turner's actions, the arrest was suspended and the child returned to school before being processed, Rolon said.
The 8-year-old, arrested by Turner in a separate incident, was processed at the Juvenile Detention Center and later released to a relative.
