Former airline employee arrested after violating Charlotte Douglas – WSOC TV

Charlotte, North Carolina – Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have filed charges against a former airline employee after he violated Charlotte Douglas International Airport on Tuesday.

Officials responded to reports of a man entering the CLT passenger terminal without permission.

Authorities have learned that the man is 40-year-old Narada Wilson, a former Piedmont Airlines employee.

Airport officials said Wilson had bypassed security and obtained illegal entry. He then boarded American Airlines Flight 881, which headed to Cancun, Mexico, using a valid boarding pass. After the flight crew was notified, the plane was diverted back to Charlotte.

Wilson was arrested after the plane landed and charged with property misconduct at the airport.

Officials said police inspected the plane after the accident.

The CMPD assists the U.S. Customs and Border Services and the FBI Joint Working Group on Terrorism as they review possible federal charges.

No other details have been published.
