Fortnite Black Hole Completed [Updating]

After about a day and a half, Fortnite Black Hole is complete. Despite expecting a major event, the server just went offline. Here it is.

At about 4 o'clock in the morning in the East, with thousands of people staring at Fortnite's rotating black hole the game suddenly flashed to a loading screen with a message that read " Currently, Fortnite servers are in the process of maintenance. Please try again later. "The servers are currently read as 'offline', likely to be supported for next season.

In the normal F ort season, this is pretty standard: Epic developer takes the game offline between approximately 4 and 6 in the morning to update things. I am not surprised that there is a stay here and I am glad that we will get the new season so soon. B ut after all the waiting and social media blackout around the black hole, it feels a little anti-climatic to me . Was there a big "black hole death" inside us all along? I wake up at four in the morning so I'll say yes because I need it.

Some people on Twitter say that the new movie trailer played for them in the lobby, but I was unable to access, which by pressing "restart" just got me out of the game that is currently being updated. Here's what people see:

After the big event at the end of the game season, Fortnite has become a weird hero game and 10-year-old teammates in a swirling black hole. Then, for the collective shock of the internet, it stayed that way. Confused players have joined forces to decode mysterious numbers, play a hidden mini-game, have fun with speculation, and spend more than 35 hours staring at what really is a screensaver.

We are finally free from the hole and will get a new season on Fortnite . There are hints of a new map and a supposedly downloaded trailer for a badge shows possible new weapons, a new way of leveling up, and new things to do. We'll see what the new world of Fortnite looks like when the game comes back online, which to me is 60%.

Update 4:43 am – My update is complete, but I just see "servers offline." I'm doing a second pot of coffee.
