Brute in Fortnite received a significant downgrade from developer Epic Games. This comes after weeks of players complaining about mech being too outdone for the game.
Epic rebalances Thursday's gross. Changes in the robot are significant, the biggest being the reduction in the rate of fire, the damage radius and damage to the rocket launch. Brute will also move slower on the map, and bag players will no longer be able to receive materials when they step or hit the environment. Epic also changed the spawning speed of the robot, so now there is a chance for Brutus not to spawn during the match.
Brute made its debut duringand it didn't take long for players of . Their complaints were focused on the sheer strength of the rocket, which could easily destroy the players hiding in their own fortress. Just over a week after its inclusion in the game, Epic stated that it had listened to players and . However, these adjustments eventually turned into a directional laser and a launch audio signal.
Epic then said last week that Brute was intended for less skilled Fortnite players and gave them "a shot at that first elimination or Victory Royale."
According to the developer, the new changes to Brute are currently live in the game.
