The second striker from the University of Michigan Franz Wagner – the ninth ranking of the draft in the Top 100 of ESPN – told ESPN that he enters the NBA draft in 2021.
Wagner, who plans to hire an agent, was the highest-ranked player on the ESPN board, who has not yet been named a draft since July.
The 6-foot 9 Wagner led Wolverines to Elite Eight and No. 1 in the NCAA. The 19-year-old Wagner averaged 12.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists with 47% shooting for Michigan. Wagner is considered one of the best defenders in the project.
Born in Germany, Wagner is the younger brother of another former Michigan first-round pick, Moe Wagner of Orlando Magic.
