“My 1

8-year-old daughter and her boyfriend were killed in a car accident on the way to a prom,” said Jody Bartrom Conaway, a fundraiser.

In one day, fundraising from Facebook exceeded its goal of $ 15,000. As of 7 p.m., on Sunday, 251 friends, family and community members donated to the fundraiser.

The crash happened around 5:15 p.m. on Saturday. The Hamilton Heights School Corporation was scheduled to have a prom on Saturday night. But shortly before 7 p.m., the school canceled the prom after receiving news that two high school students, Landon Bayram and Cullen Hart, had died and two other students had been injured in an accident on the way to the event.

Hamilton Heights Sr. Cullen Hart was riding in the front passenger seat and her meeting, junior cathedral high school student Landon Bayram was driving when the car was deboned at the intersection of 281st Street and Lacy Road.

Both Hart and Bajram died in the crash. Two other passengers were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the other vehicle refused medical help.

The cathedral high school held a memorial on Sunday to “gather, mourn and pray.” Two more vigils will be held late Sunday afternoon for Cullen Hart.
