Galaxy Note 10+ 5G receives a security patch in October 2020 on the T-Mobile network

The security patch from October 2020 is now available for various Galaxy smartphones, including the Galaxy Note 10+ 5G in the T-Mobile network in the USA. The Galaxy A50 was Samsung’s first smartphone to receive the new security patch. The update was later released for unlocked versions of the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S20, Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 20.

The new update for Galaxy Note 10+ 5G in the T-Mobile network brings a firmware version N976USQS3CTI8. The official T-Mobile support page for the smartphone does not mention the change log, but expect the new software to also include bug fixes and stability improvements. The update was launched yesterday and will now reach your smartphone.

In addition to Android’s security vulnerabilities, the October 2020 security patch also fixes 21

vulnerabilities that are unique to Samsung. Last month, the carrier launched a security patch on the smartphone in August 2020. It also enabled the support of T-Mobile’s stand-alone 5G network in the US, offering improved connectivity and coverage where there is 5G coverage.

If you are a Galaxy Note 10+ 5G user on the T-Mobile network in the US and the update has not yet reached your phone, you can check for the update manually by opening Settings » Software update on your device and touch Download and install.
