Sam Curry, chief security officer for cybersecurity company Cybereason, said the Garmin buyout attack was “crippling” and called it the “corporate equivalent of a heart attack.”
“The longer Garmin is offline, the refund price increases and can cost tens of millions of dollars more,” he said. However, Garmin said he did not expect the slowdown to have a significant impact on his financial results.
Shareholders will have a better feel for the impact of the hiatus after Garmin’s quarterly earnings called this Wednesday.
