When the two teams met last season, the Bulldogs won 38-12. When the two teams met at Neiland Stadium in 2017, Georgia came away with a 41-0 victory.
The waiting week comes at a very good time for Georgia, given that the team is pretty much blown up after a physical encounter with Notre Dame. Starting cornerback Tyson Campbell didn't dress for the game, and fellow starter Eric Stokes also left with a knee injury but returned to fourth quarter.
On the offensive side of the ball, Solomon Kindley left the game with a left foot injury. Isaiah Wilson is back in action, though he missed the previous two games.
This game will be a coincidence between two former Alabama defensive coordinators, as Jeremy Prout is the Tennessee head coach. The two worked together in Alabama from 2007-12. Pruitt also served as the defensive coordinator from 2014-15.
There are also a number of Georgia players who have close ties to the Tennessee program. Eli Wolf in a tight end game in Tennessee before transferring to Georgia.
