Judge Rut Bader Ginsberg returned to the Supreme Court on Friday for the private conference of judges
The Supreme Court Information Office told Hill Ginsberg that he attended a meeting where judges hear requests for cases. Ginsberg is absent from the court as he has undergone surgery in late December to remove two cancerous nodes from his lower left lung.
The 85-year-old missed his oral argument last month while recovering from the procedure. Her absence was the first time in more than 25 years on the bench that she was forced to miss arguments because of her health.
Judges have been on vacation for the last month, but return to the oral bench on Tuesday.
