Here you are, BOT Connor.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive update this week downloaded bots from racing games – and now players remember them at their best.
Prior to the January 7 update, when the CS: GO player was turned off or kicked, they were replaced by a bot to keep the teams even.
After the update, players who disconnect or are kicked in classic racing and winger mode will no longer be replaced by a bot. This means that there is no more 5v5 if a player leaves ̵
Valve made the change without explanation, leaving the players to scratch their motives. One theory is that a decision has been made to discourage teams from kicking underperforming players in order to replace them with a bot that they will play with after death, which will actually give extra life to the top frader.
Some players strongly disagree with the change, saying that it is unfair to face a 4v5 match because a teammate accidentally interrupts or abandons the match at the beginning of the round.
While the CS: GO community is coping with this change, players are spending time remembering bots from recent years. Redditor thefolenangel turned to the CS: GO subroutine to start a theme for players to share their favorite bot memories – and there are some classics. Here’s a snippet of videos of CS: GO bots doing business – or just doing weird things:
Yes! Here you are, BOT Connor. And you, BOT Brad. And you, BOT Vladimir. We will never forget you.
