- An Instagram story posted by the official Google Made account contains an unreleased Google Pixel 4a.
- The phone in Story is white (or possibly the color “Sand” of Google), but 4a only starts in Just Black.
- Google may have planned to release multiple color paths for the device, but it was reduced when the pandemic caused problems.
The official Google-made Instagram account recently posted a new story. Story focuses on International Dance Day, which was yesterday. In the video, a woman dances around her house full of Google hardware.
The music she dances to comes from Nest Audio in the color Chalk. At one point there is a corresponding phone placed next to the speaker. The phone in question is undoubtedly the Google Pixel 4a – but this phone only starts in Just Black.

You can see the history of Instagram before it disappears by clicking here, but the prompter sent us a screenshot, which we reflected below:
Now, if you remember, the Google Pixel 4a was supposed to launch in May last year. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Google delayed the release. In the end, the phone fell in August in only one color.
It is very possible that Google has planned a second color option for the Pixel 4a, and this second option may be what we see in this Instagram story. This would make sense, as every other Pixel phone has at least two color options.
Unfortunately, we will probably never see this Google Pixel 4a appear on store shelves, as it looks quite elegant. However, the upcoming Pixel 5a may return many color options, now that the pandemic is beginning to eradicate in certain areas of the world.
