Google adds a News Tracking map to the Assistant photo

Back in August, the command “Hey, Google, show me my day” was added to quickly launch a summary of Android Assistant. Google also previewed a number of other Assistant Snapshot features, such as “Enjoy the News” and FAB with shortcuts, which are now widely available.

News Tracking shows your “Top 5 stories right now.” This map has been expanded by default to show a carousel. The articles contain large covers, title, publication and how many hours ago it was published. Touch – now and graciously – opens the page in a custom Chrome tab, not Google’s default solution, which has been in and out of testing.

Below the list of maps you can drag are “Open News”

; – “About You” and “Headlines” section. If installed, open the Google News app for more information. As with other maps, you can disable Article News in the Google Assistant Snapshot settings in Recommendations. Compared to Google Discover, it offers a much shorter experience, which is more consistent with the consumption of a bite.

Meanwhile, the FAB, which was previously shown in late August, is now available. Appears in the lower right corner with a four-color plus sign, it launches “Add New” feed. Depending on the connected services, most users only see a Reminder.

This launches Google Assistant to fill in the details of what you want to be notified about. Item Shopping and Note are available to others who do not have a range of first- or third-party services and simply use Assistant for everything. These two elements provide a more integrated experience.

Assistant Snapshot FAB is appearing this week, while the Google News map is coming out now.
