Google Duplex Can Now Book Movie Tickets in the UK and US

You can now use Google Duplex to book your movie tickets to Android on the US and UK. The functionality that was first annoyed with Google I / O 2019 can be accessed through Google Assistant or the Google Android app. You can ask or search for movie theaters and after finding the right time and place, click the Buy Tickets button to start the process. The software then walks you through the steps of choosing places and can enter your billing information for you if you saved it in Chrome.

The new feature builds on the existing Duplex booking feature that Google began offering last year. In this case, however, he goes through the simpler process of filling in text boxes on a website instead of trying to use a voice assistant to make a phone call to an unsuspecting business.

A video posted by Google shows the functionality in action.

Google says its movie ticket booking service is compatible with over 70 movie theaters and ticket services, including AMC, Fandango, MJR Theaters and Movietickets.com in the US, and that will work too with Odeon cinemas in the UK.

I was just trying out the functionality for myself to see how it works and the whole process feels very seamless, even when you have to rely on your own cinema interface to pick your seats. Overall, however, given how cumbersome the websites of some cinemas can be, this is very welcome.
