Google is releasing its impressive noise reduction in Google Meet for Android and iOS, but unfortunately it will not be available to everyone – you must be a customer of G Suite Enterprise or G Suite Enterprise for Education to take advantage of the convenient feature, says Google. Google first released this for the web in June.
The technology is designed to reduce background noise such as a keyboard or a barking dog while on a Google Meet call. Google’s G Suite update blog says noise reduction is turned off by default on mobile devices, but you can turn it on during a call by going to call settings. (Here’s Google’s guide on how to do it.) The feature will be introduced today and should be fully implemented within a few days.
