Google Photos elevates tagging tools in the main editor user interface

With the release of the Pixel 5 and 4a 5G last year, Photos gained a revamped editing experience focused on smart offerings and more detailed controls. Today, a small setting indicates that tagging tools for drawing and adding text are being promoted in Google Photos Editor.

Last year’s editor redesign moved “Markup” to the “More” tab, which also covers third-party imaging apps installed on your device. Previously, it was located at the bottom of the screen in a bar / bar that showed all the available tools in one view without having to drag.

Although you still have to scroll left, Google Photos made Tagging its own section between “Filters”

; and “More.” The Pen, Highlighter, and Text tools are unchanged in terms of functionality, but they use the new layout used by other tools and filters. You must turn on mode before you can take action.

This is a good little change that can increase the use of this feature, as it is no longer hidden, even when people have several ways to edit screenshots, especially with Android 11+. The tag enhancement in Google Photos Editor is now being introduced.
