Owners of Pixel devices, start your Wi-Fi radio stations. The monthly security update for Pixel phones has been published by Google. Updates are available for both direct firmware downloads and OTA files, but should be displayed on at least a few phones today.

Although Google makes every effort to document the changes it makes to Android to fix security vulnerabilities, there is nothing particularly interesting about the changes. In particular, the Widevine error, which blocked playback of some DRM-protected videos we reported last month, is not addressed here. That doesn̵

7;t mean that is not fixed, but we think Google would have mentioned it if it had.

You can read the comprehensive list of security changes in the latest update here. The update is being distributed in batches now to Pixel 3, 3 XL, 3a, 3a XL, 4, 4 XL, 4a, 4a 5G and Pixel 5.
