On Monday afternoon, Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo, Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, FEMA Regional Director Tony Robinson and other local authorities revealed the details of the state-run COVID-19, a state-run mass vaccination clinic.

Since its announcement a few weeks ago, workers have been building a temporary mass vaccination facility. This will be a facility for passing through the yellow lot in NRG Park.
“People deserve some good news, some hope,”
A limited number of doses are expected to be provided as part of the soft launch on Tuesday, with the site expected to be fully online by Wednesday. The plan is to serve 6,000 people a day, seven days a week. It will then be switched to a second dose in three weeks.
Organizers say the minimum federal site is expected to vaccinate 126,000 people. This is in addition to the county, city, hospital and pharmacy vaccinations that are still ongoing.
According to Hidalgo, they will vaccinate those who live in zip codes that are severely affected by the virus.
“We all at the state, federal and local levels agree that this site should focus on the people who have been abandoned so far, who are most affected by COVID-19,” Hidalgo said. “We did it by finding zip codes with the highest incidence of the virus and the highest social vulnerability and social vulnerability index.”
Postal codes are as follows: 77022, 77029, 77032, 77078, 77087, 77093, 77502, 77504, 77506, 77587, 77011, 77012, 77015, 77016, 77020, 77026, 77028, 77033, 77037, 77038, 77039, 77048, , 77091, 77503, 77060, 77080, 77099, 77013, 77014, 77036, 77050, 77051, 77076, 77090.
Hidalgo added that the people on the waiting list, who come from the city’s and county’s 10 largest zip codes, will be given top priority for the site’s vaccines.
“Then we will give priority to the people after the other 25 most affected postal codes before withdrawing from the wider waiting list,” Hidalgo said.
FEMA uses the waiting list from Harris County and Houston. They contact individuals for appointments.
