Hawaii reports 64 new COVID cases; 1 additional death



HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) – Hawaii reported 64 new COVID infections on Saturday and another death, bringing the death toll to 502.

The Ministry of Health announced that a 60-year-old woman from Oahu had died from the virus.

Meanwhile, there are 36,535 COVID infections on the islands since the beginning of the pandemic.

Of the new cases, 41 were in Oahu, nine on the island of Hawaii, one on Kauai and 13 on Maui.

In the last 14 days there are 671

cases.

So far, the state has said it has administered 1,553,304 doses of vaccine. About 52% of all residents were fully vaccinated, while 59% received at least one dose.
