The Los Angeles Department of Public Health checks two Los Angeles residents who have recently traveled and had measles after their return home. 19659008] Health authorities said potential exposure to measles occurred in the following places:
- Geffen Playhouse, 10886 Le Conte Avenue, June 7, 8 am to 11 pm
- Toscana Restaurant-Brentwood, San Vicente Avenue 11633, June 8, 7 to 11
There is no known present risk at these locations.
Anyone who was in these places at that time may be at risk of developing measles up to 21 days after being exposed. ] If you were in any of these places at the time, it is important to review your immunizations and medical data if you are not sure about the immunization status. or if you are pregnant, have a baby or have a weakened immune system.
Officials urge residents, especially those who travel, to get measles vaccination to protect themselves and others.
So far, in 2019, there have been 10 cases of measles among Los Angeles residents and 8 non-resident cases that have traveled through Los Angeles County.
