Is this the Model S that makes the attempt?
It seems Tesla is serious about setting the Nurburgring record with Model S. In fact, these spy shots capture a modified Model S test near the track.
Just a little earlier today, we reported rumors that Tesla may have secured a 30-minute window on a private Nurburgring tour, which may be a record-breaking attempt at the best time recently set by Porsche Taycan. Now, with these spy shots in the hand, it looks like all this may be true.

According to our spy photographers:
"… we spied Tesla in a private testing facility near the Nurburgring, preparing Model S for mileage in the lap record. "
" … model S Tesla prepares for attempting to save not seem to be available. We can see wider rebates fenders, aggressive wheels and tires and a spoiler lip on the trunk. From what we heard the tires where the Michelin Cup 2 R for that extra grip and also noticed a roll in the cage inside the car. "
In addition, the bottom grate opening appears to be larger to enhance cooling. And if you zoom in on the rear badge, it looks like it is showing a P100D +.
Some may say that it's unfair to use a modified Model S for this attempt at beating Taycan, but remember, Taycan was a prototype of production and Tesla could certainly just add this "Nurburgring" package to Tesla Design Studio overnight to make it a production
The excitement is still developing. Stay tuned for more information on but the possible recording of Model S "Ring lap. Below is an image of Model S available for comparison:
