We don’t know much about Forbidden West, which is the upcoming sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn from 2017. The game was originally shown at Sony’s PS5 event last summer, and we’ve learned since then that Forbidden West will launch on both PS4 and PS5. However, even with different generations available, Sony says that games released on both platforms will be built from scratch for the PlayStation 5.
Currently, Horizon Forbidden West is scheduled for release in 2021. In the trailer of the revelation, it seems that the returning protagonist Aloy is heading for a post-apocalyptic version of San Francisco. If you haven’t played Aloy’s original adventure yet, Horizon Zero Dawn is free for all PS4 and PS5 owners as part of PlayStation’s Play at Home initiative until May 14th.
As for other high-end PS5 games, Returnal just launched on the PlayStation 5 last week, and we called the game “Great” in our Returnal review. However, there is some criticism about the lack of a save feature in the game, which can last more than two hours.
