Houston Texans are expected to seek a second interview with Billis “Leslie Fraser, Chiefs” Eric Biniemi, sources said

The Houston Texans are expected to request a second interview with Buffalo Bills defense coordinator Leslie Fraser and Kansas City Offensive Coordinator Eric Bieniemi after the AFC Championship game on Sunday, sources told ESPN.

Both candidates believe they have a legitimate chance to take on the Texas head coach and have begun assembling coaching staffs in case they are hired, sources said.

Fraser is said to have had a strong interview with the Texans and has previous experience as a head coach from his time at the Vikings in Minnesota. In many circles, Bieniemy is seen as a pending head coach, although he has recently been transferred from several teams.

As the demand for a Houston head coach grows, the winning coordinator of Sunday̵

7;s game could be the loser in the search for the Texans, as they will have to wait to hire him. The Texans could act faster with the coordinator than the losing team.

This scenario played a key role in hiring Brandon Staley from the Los Angeles Chargers last weekend because of Bills offensive coordinator Brian Dabol. After Staley’s Rams were eliminated from the playoffs, the Chargers didn’t want to wait for Daboll and hired Staley.

Other candidates interviewed by the Texas include quarterback Josh McCown, former Lions and Colts coach Jim Caldwell, Colts defense coordinator Matt Eberfluss and Ravens assistant head coach David Cully.
