How to add a Spotify gadget to your iOS 14 home scren

As we’ve been rounding out all week, various third-party apps have released powerful widgets for the iOS 14 home screen. Spotify itself hasn’t updated its iOS app with gadget support, but there is a third-party app available that transfers Spotify gadgets to the home iOS 14 screen.

One of the features of the iOS 14 tent is support for home screen widgets. A variety of Apple apps support home screen widgets, including the Apple Music app. The Music app widget comes in three sizes, allowing you to easily see recently played songs, albums, and playlists on the Home screen.

Since iOS 14 was released on Wednesday, many Spotify users have called on the company to add home screen widgets to its iOS app. So far, Spotify has not released an app update with home screen widgets, but the third-party TuneTrack app aims to address this issue.

Whether Spotify plans to add its own gadget to iOS 1

4 remains to be seen, but the company doesn’t have the best story when it comes to quickly adopting the new features of iOS and Apple Watch.

TuneTrack is a third-party application that integrates with Apple Music, Spotify and Last.fm. The app is described as a way to easily track your music habits, create custom playlists and more. In the last few days, however, TuneTrack has grown in popularity because of Spotify’s home screen gadget for iOS 14 users.

TuneTrack is a free download from the App Store. After installing the application, you can open it and log in with a Spotify account. After logging in with your Spotify account, return to the iOS 14 home screen, press and hold to enter shuffle mode, then tap “+” in the upper right corner.

Browse the list of apps you’ve installed with widget support until you find TuneTrack. From there, you can easily add the TuneTrack Spotify gadget to the iOS 14 home screen and paste it the way you want. The Spotify Now Playing gadget will update every five minutes, or you can force an update in the TuneTrack app in the Settings menu.

Finally, TuneTrack also offers an Apple Music Now Playing gadget, so if you don’t like Apple’s default option, you can also try TuneTrack.
