How to customize iPhone home screen in iOS 14

Finally, iPhone owners can finally customize your home screens with widgets. (Android users, feel free to skip – you’ve all had this feature for years.) After installing iOS 14, you can decorate your iPhone with fresh icons, wallpapers and gadgets for a completely personalized look. Here’s how to get started.

First, you will need new application icons. You can find some online by looking for iPhone icon packs or by visiting a site like icons8.com. Save the icons to your camera.

Then go to the App Store and download Widgetsmithwhich allows you to change the fonts and colors of your iPhone and Apple Shortcuts an app (if you don̵

7;t already have one) where things start to get a little … complicated.

You need to create shortcuts from your new app icons to the apps themselves. In the Shortcuts application, tap another sign in the top right corner. Then tap Add action and select Script. From there, select Open the application command, then select the application you want to open. Hits three points and select Add to home screen. From here, type the name of the application and click the icon on the left. Choose Select Photo option to open your camera roll and select the icon you selected for that particular application in the first step. Unfortunately, you have to repeat this process for each new application icon. To get rid of old app icons, long press the home screen to send them to the app library.

Creating shortcuts from new icons to apps will slow down the loading time of apps and also prevent you from seeing notification badges. And, as you can see from the video above, this process takes the least amount of time. But if you want your iPhone to reflect your true spirit, it might be worth it o’clock you need to completely deceive your home screen. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!
